And if Manas transmits these streams, they fall into a different section of the mind, which is called "buddhi". And buddhi substance creates an exact copy of what he sees, hears, smells or touches our yogi.

And all this happens in the buddhi, provided that the Manas missed the information about this cup of tea. Let me remind you also that there is a third part of our mind, or the third reason, which is committed to highlights. Just as the flashlight illuminates something in the dark, also the third intelligence department displays all replicas, which are reproduced in the buddhi. And the third part is called "citta".

Those. citta - is a mechanism through which the light of consciousness the rays emanating from our higher self, or emanating from the higher self of the yogi, who sits on the street Tverskaya and sipping his tea.

Example with restaurant

But you say, came from a woman, and their focus is on the girl. Meditation

And this process of concentrating or paying attention to the correct and not to fall for the distraction of unnecessary, can be called succinct word "meditation".

But yoga is divided into several stages, and is called by different names. In particular, "Yoga Sutra Patanjali" is once more stages, which are called "pratyahar" "dharana" "dhyana" and respectively "SAMADHI with an object."

Or in other words, only our yogi begins to ignore everything that comes through our rough, respectively, subtle senses and learns at Manas prevent the flow of information in the buddhi, it is called "pratyahara". Or in one of the free translation - it's pulling the fine senses of the gross senses.

Then, inside the buddhi, you know, there is a variety of other objects that have had time to form. Those. before people saw something, I heard. And in his buddhi are these images, despite the fact that the eyes do not see anything, ears do not hear, nose smells. But it is what is called the "memory of the object."

Or, in particular, our yogi sitting in outdoor cafe. And at some point, closed his eyes and covered his ears, nose clothespin clamped. But he also was the image of clubs, which he had previously seen. As well as the image of a passing car, and in general the whole environment. Those. a photograph, a picture.

In this photograph, containing a large number of different objects still continues to run citta, but, like, have not received the new facilities. And this is a new stage "pratyahara".

Then, even when the yogi mental gaze is focused on one thing, avoiding something else, depending on the degree of concentration, it may be called "dharana" "dhyana" or "SAMADHI".

Friends, this image is no different from the external image that yogi receives through the senses. Or in other words: in buddhi likewise formed an exact copy of the yogi as he perceives himself. All of what we call the external world with all the objects and phenomena of the external world and all of what we call the inner world with all the conglomerate of internal sensations and perceptions about themselves, in fact, occurs in buddhi. But, as you know and remember from previous lectures, there is a law of interaction of what we would call, the inner and outer world. It turns out that some creative visualization in buddhi, is responsible for our inner world, somehow affects those images, which, again, are we in the buddhi, and are responsible for the outside world.

And there is a certain correlation between the internal and external: internal to external influences, and the outer - to the inner. But internal and external care is within the buddhi. Or, in other words, the mind. And that would not have happened to our senses, hearing, sight, smell, touch, all this is secondary to the processes that occur in the mind.

Accordingly, if you control the mind, then you are subject to and everything else.

But now we let a few more complicate our story and add to this story this time. And since there is knowledge of the time?

Correspondence between name and form

And as soon as our buddhi surface began to shudder under the influence of the information had come from the senses and passed through Manas, it is equivalent to what occurred in the buddhi thought form generated by this information. Or, in Sanskrit it is called "vritti" (twist, swirl, if you give a free translation).
